We have had a wonderful stay in the Old Court House. Very much home from home. Sarah has been great with communication and accommodating us. All the little extras made it extra special. We visit Silloth twice a year and will definitely be back. Thank you once again for making our break extra special.

The fish and chips at the Silloth Fish and Chip shop were lovely… we have been blessed with good weather most of the time and feel we have experienced Silloth at its best. Thank you again!

The five of us and Luna the dog have really enjoyed ourselves here. The house is a lovely layout – warm and light. We’ve had a couple of visits to the Balmoral for an early evening drink – friendly place – and lunch at Mrs Wilsons. Great icecream at Allonby and a visit to Maryport. Thanks again.

Our Golden Wedding anniversary treat to ourselves! We have had a very relaxing few days here at the Old Court House. Our son and daughter-in-law joined us to celebrate. We all enjoyed a day out to Maryport, and Alan (doggie) loved walking up to Skinburness on the promenade. Your house is very warm and cosy, with everything we’ve needed. Thank you for the biscuits & cake, and also the balloon!

We have had a lovely few days in your very welcoming house. It was lovely to come out of the wet & windy weather to the warmth throughout. We love Silloth and the children enjoyed Fusion in Carlisle, and the Puzzling Place & Kong Climbing in Keswick while the ladies shopped! Thankyou again.

Had a fabulous stay at number 2. The house is amazing with everything and more that we needed. Location is perfect for the town and the beach for our little terrier Nellie. Stayed in a lot of cottages / accommodations but this is the best by far. We will definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Courthouse in lovely Silloth. The furnishings are luxurious and is extremely well-equipped for a very comfortable stay. The owners have thought of everything you might need and more! Very easy to walk to all attractions and amenities, there’s lots of cafes and a super bakery within a two-minute walk. Stunning views from the prom over to Scotland and is very easy walking, lots of benches to sit and enjoy the sea air too. We will return for sure!

Superb in every way Highly recommended for a totally relaxing break by the sea. We will be back.

A revelation in that everything in the house was done for people and not minimum spend on some rentals we have been in. All the linen was of a good quality and fresh. The kitchen was very well stocked and wonder of wonders, sharp knives. Keep these away from little hands. Oven was spot on and worked perfectly. Two bathrooms, showers and a large bath. A full size dining room and not a table shoehorned into the kitchen. Relaxing and comfortable. Cobbled road outside, may need to take your hearing aids out.

We enjoyed talking to the local people, who responded with greetings and we chatted with a few older residents regarding the history of Silloth. Bonus was the weekend we were there was the Firebird Festival, The Skatones were excellent, even though it did sprinkle from the heavens a little.

A proper bakery, flour from the Mill on the waterfront, fridge magnet of Silloth from the RNLI shop, two fish and chip outlets, one very good Spanish restaurant (The Bank, met a lady in Workington who worked in the bank), plenty of miles for walking by the seaside. Please visit St. Nicholas church in Whitehaven and meet the volunteers who run the café. Lovely ladies and lovely surroundings.

We spent 4 great nights at the accommodation and could not fault it at all. The cottage is immaculate and equipped with everything you should need. The location could not be better for access to the town and there are lovely places to go for food or just tea and cakes. We contacted the host Sarah to ask for suggestions for places to eat and she could not have been more helpful. We will definitely be back 🥰

We have had a lovely stay at your very well appointed, tastefully decorated bungalow. Very clean, cosy and comfortable with everything and more that we needed. A good base for everywhere we went. Thank you for all your recommendations. We went to Allonby Beach and a lovely walk, Cockermouth, Whinlatter Forest and also had a lovely meal at the Lowther Arms. Thank you!

The Court House is an excellent place to stay. The home has everything you need and more.  The beds were comfortable – everything was spotless and well equipped. The host Sarah was so helpful and lovely. The home is warm very well positioned. The shops are just a few min walk away, the butcher is just a few houses up and the fairy dust tea room is just across the road and down a few meters. The promenade is just about 5 min walk straight down and beach about 10 min walk away. There is a bus stop just across the road.  There is plenty to occupy everyone. Everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this beautiful home and place to stay. We will definitely return soon.
